Fall Colors Cruise for 2012

At the October General Business meeting, the club voted on having our annual Fall Colors Cruise on November 3rd. This cruise will start at the Holiday Inn in Decatur at 9:30 AM and head to Brushy Lake in Bankhead National Forest. This will take up most of the day so plan on packing a lunch. Weather permitting, some folks will be camping at the adjacent primitive campground (read: NO electricity). Tammy is planning on making a pot of her famous chili for dinner that night. Details are on the Events calendar.

UPDATE: Here’s a few photos from this year’s cruise:

Fall Colors Cruise – Nov. 12th

Join us for our annual Fall Colors Cruise to Bankhead National Forest on Nov. 12th. It’s the perfect time to hop in your VW and cruise to a beautiful state park and see all the colors of Fall. We’ll meet up at 9AM at the Holiday Inn in Decatur (right there at the river bridge) and head out at 9:30 AM. We’ll make a stop the local General Store when we get close to the park in case anyone needs gas or supplies. Once in the park, we’ll eat lunch, so bring a chair and something to eat.

This event will be postponed if it’s raining.
